Doing out Bit for the Royal Wedding

Charterhouse helps Central Hall Westminster prepare for influx of visitors to Parliament Square with large-scale IPTV deployment.

It's not so much a slow news week as a one story week. In case you hadn't noticed, there seems to be a wedding happening. Charterhouse and our staff will be more than just interested observers; we'll be right in the middle of the action.

One of our most prestigious clients is Central Hall Westminster. As you'll see from the photo, it's located in Parliament Square, next to Westminster Abbey, with a prime view of the door where William and Kate will enter the Abbey tomorrow.

We pretty much manage CHW's entire technology estate and also work with them for special events. This certainly qualifies. Below is the view from the balcony at CHW overlooking the Abbey.

The Square itself will be, to understate the case significantly, somewhat busy on Friday 29th April. CHW will have visitors inside and outside with which they will have to contend, along with the world's media check the top left of the photo below). To help them cope, we've installed temporary fibre connections inside and outside the building, linked to outside broadcast feeds.
